Our Director of College Guidance is readily available to talk with students about their post high school plans. Our Director sets up appointments with seniors early in the year to make sure that they are on track to accomplish the goals they have set.

Director of College Guidance Responsibilities

Help explore your educational goals and keep you on track.
Invite college representatives and career specialists to WKA to provide as much information as possible.
Encourage you to create a list of colleges to which you plan to apply.
Inform you of the SAT and ACT test dates.
Inform you of scholarships and financial aid information through emails, links, and the WKA website.
Send transcripts and any other information to the colleges of your choice.

Student Responsibilities

Register and attend college orientation sessions.
Complete your college applications.
Write your college admission essays.
Research and apply for scholarship opportunities.
Meet all college application, testing, and financial aid deadlines.
Make appointments and visit regularly.
Make your final college decision by May 1. (The National Reply deadline.)
