Board of Trustees

King Academy is served by a board of directors consisting of twelve members. Board terms are three years. Each board member must express a willingness to serve as a trustee in addition to having served a minimum of one year on a standing committee. The Board of Directors sets the policy of the school and is focused on governance and not day-to-day management.

"In the spring of 2023 I was finishing my 11th year of teaching in public school. I was unhappy with my job and my 5 year old daughter was set to join me the next year as she was beginning kindergarten. A family member reached out and said WKA was hiring a 1st grade teacher. I was immediately interested! I prayed and asked God to work out all of the details if that was where our family was meant to be! Little did I know WKA also had a 3K class and my son could join my daughter and me! God worked out all of our needs! My two children and I have been at WKA for two years. We all love going to school every day! My children have thrived academically; they love learning thanks to their amazing teachers. As a teacher I feel supported by our administration, my co-workers and parents. We are so blessed to be a part of the WKA family!"
